Snazzified calendar and keyboard shortcuts

When a software system is well presented, it can improve productivity and increase job satisfaction. That’s why we’re constantly striving to raise the design bar for the Timely booking system.

Here’s the deets …

The first thing you’ll notice are a few subtle changes to how appointments look on the calendar. These are the result of a series of small tweaks that together offer an even more delightful display than before.

Take a look at the image above — can you see what’s changed?

We’ve also improved how classes look on the calendar to provide instant feedback at a glance. For example, the image above shows how classes reflect their capacity by how much colour fills the appointment box.

And now when the class is edited, the booking capacity is shown on the details tab like this:

That’s it for the cosmetic changes, now here’s a more functional addition.

Keyboard shortcuts for fast action

Clicking on the calendar or the add appointment button adds appointments quickly. Changing the calendar view also requires a click of a button.

But what if you didn’t have to move your cursor and click these buttons? What if you could just press a single key on the keyboard?

Well now you can with keyboard shortcuts. Just click CTRL+? to pop up the following help screen which shows you the available shortcut keys. Try the shortcuts to make Timely even more speedy to use than before!
